About 900 lbs fully loaded, including my wide load astride her. Am carrying shelter, bed, office, kitchen, first aid and a tool kit. Winter riding gear and minimal street clothing.
Trip Planning
Anytime I have attempted to map the territory prior to experiencing it, there were plenty of detours and unexpected challenges that arose despite my best planning efforts. So while the goal is Chichen-Itza, Yucatan, in thirty days, I may never find myself there.
In the first 2000 miles SW to the southernmost tip of Baja, there is plenty of territory to get into trouble, (and you all know how I like trouble). On the other hand, If I carry the same motivation I carry today over the course of the entire trip, I may just be e-mailing you from Peru come the end of January. Where ever I end up, I got a feeling its going to be a hell of a trip getting there.
